Conditions of Application

  1. A non-refundable Audition fee of £45 is payable by applicants submitting an application for an undergraduate programme. This fee is payable online as part of the application process.
  2. The audition fee may be refunded if the applicant does not fulfil LSC entry criteria for the year in which they have applied and is therefore not offered an audition.
  3. The audition fee is payable for application via video and international auditions.

Conditions of Enrolment

  1. To secure the offer of a place on a programme at London Studio Centre (LSC) registrants are required to return the completed Registration Form to the Admissions Manager and pay a £500 Registration Fee electronically (see point 2), by the date indicated in the letter of offer. Completion of the registration form includes a guarantor declaration. Information regarding tuition fees and support is included with the offer pack to ensure that applicants are fully aware of the expected fees associated with their chosen course of study at LSC. Information is also provided on the website. It is the students’ and parent/guardians’ opportunity to consider very carefully the financial commitment into which they are entering and to take full responsibility for it.
  2. The Registration fee will be repaid when the student has completed their studies, and all debts are cleared. If the registrant does not meet the conditions set out in the letter of offer and is therefore not able to enrol on the course, the fee will be repaid. If the registrant decides not to take up their place for any other reason, the fee will be retained by LSC.
  3. International students who require a student visa will need to be issued a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) by LSC.To be issued a CAS, International Students will be required to pay the £500 Registration Fee (as noted in point 1), a £500 LSC Visa Administration Fee and a £3,000 Tuition Fee on Account. The Registration fee will be repaid once the student has completed their studies, and all debts are cleared. The LSC Visa Administration Fee is non-refundable once the CAS has been issued. The £3,000 Tuition Fee on Account will be held on the student’s fee account and will be deducted from the student’s final year’s tuition fee instalment(s) (at the end of their studies). As the Tuition Fee on Account will be held on the student’s fee account and not in a separate registration fee account, the amount paid can be stated on the student’s CAS.In addition to the above, registrants will be required to provide proof that the academic requirements have been met (as detailed in the letter of offer) together with two signed written references, prior to the CAS being issued.Proof of the student visa will be required by LSC at enrolment by providing a copy of the biometric residency permit or online confirmation of the visa status.
  4. If a student cannot pay their tuition fees, in accordance with the agreed instalment plan, they will not normally be able to continue their studies, however all fees will remain due.
  5. Registrants must provide proof of academic qualifications in accordance with entrance requirements and the letter of offer. Registrants whose secondary education has been conducted in a language other than English are required to provide certified translations of their certificates and may also be required to prove proficiency in the English language by taking the International English Language Test (IELTS) administered by the British Council, or the equivalent. Evidence of all exam results must be supplied to LSC by 31st August in the year of entry.
  6. All registrants are required to provide LSC with photo identification. Copies should be sent once the registration form has been submitted. Originals will be required at enrolment on the first day of term, e.g., passport or UK driving licence (provisional or full photo card licence only). Please do not send original documents.
  7. An online medical questionnaire must be completed before the commencement of the course, a link to which will be sent to the student in July.
  8. Tuition fee invoices are sent out for the full year’s fees prior to the commencement of the academic year, at the beginning of August (new students) or the beginning of July (continuing students) annually. Full tuition fees are due by 1st September; however termly and monthly payment options are available, details of which are sent with the invoice.

International students should note that the Tuition Fee on Account will be deducted from the students’ final year’s final tuition fee instalment(s), at the end of their studies (if commencing a three-year programme, then at the end of year 3). Therefore, in addition to the fees noted in point 3 to be awarded a CAS, tuition fees for the first academic year will be due in full prior to commencing studies, or in accordance with the chosen payment option. Please see the information pack for a summary of when fees are expected to be paid.

  1. A student may withdraw from the programme at any time, provided a full term’s written notice is submitted to the Student Records Manager. If notice is given during term time, fees are liable for that term, plus the following term. E.g., to confirm withdrawal for the start of the second academic year of study, notice must be received prior to the first day of the summer term of the previous academic year. If such notice is not given, fees remain due in lieu of such notice. Please note: If a student fails to progress on the programme no claim shall arise for the return of any proportion of the fees payable for that term. There will be no reimbursement of fees if the student is unable to continue their studies through illness or injury; however, the possibility of an interruption of studies may be offered.
  2. Students enrolled on the programme give consent that LSC may pass on personal data about themselves (which may be sensitive) to selected third parties, such as:
    1. The Office for Students (OfS)
    2. The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA); further details about the information they require can be found on the HESA web pages. 5. This guarantee applies for the whole of the programme and is not revocable during that programme.
  6. It is agreed that there shall be no right to cancel this agreement once the programme has begun and The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 shall not apply in this case.
