The Ballet pathway, available on multiple undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, trains students to the physical, technical and artistic standards expected of professional ballet performers worldwide.
Students who choose the Ballet pathway explore advanced ballet techniques and gain a deep, critical understanding of the form through masterclasses and workshops from working industry creatives and choreographers.
Training is complemented by a broad range of techniques, including Jazz and Contemporary Dance. A programme of Individual Physical Development sessions provide students with an holistic approach to maintaining a professional career in dance. London Studio Centre has a history of excellence in Ballet training, since the original course was developed by former principal of the Royal Ballet Margaret Barbieri (current Assistant Director of Sarasota Ballet) in consultation with Dame Alicia Markova.
Graduates from the Ballet pathway at LSC have enjoyed varied careers as performers and choreographers worldwide with such companies as The Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, Mergaliyev Ballet Company, Ballet Ireland, Ballet Cymru, International Classical Ballet of Ukraine, Scottish Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Vienna Festival Ballet, Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and West End shows such as The Phantom of the Opera.
