Lilac Fairies and Cavaliers from Sleeping Beauty

Recreate one of the most iconic scenes from classical ballet. Participants will benefit from working on musicality, artistry and learning choreography in a corps de ballet setting.

Claire Robertson trained at LSC and graduated to join the Scottish Ballet Company in 1994. She spent an incredible 20 years with the company as a principle dancer, working with renowned choreographers and performing a very diverse repertoire. This included pieces by George Balanchine, Hans Van Manon, William Forsythe and ballets including The Nutcracker, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Since moving on from professional performance, she has completed her Diploma in teaching with the Royal Ballet School, and is currently teaching at London Studio Centre.

Contemporary Dance Fundamentals

The workshop will be a fast-paced and dynamic journey into contemporary dance. Explore the fundamentals of contemporary dance through some floorwork practice and technical exercises, building to choreographic phrases that challenge co-ordination and physicality. Participants will be encouraged to explore different qualities and dynamics to develop their personal artistry.

Caldonia Walton trained at LSC and has toured with companies such as VOXED – Wayne Parsons, Austin Dance Theatre, Cascade Dance Theatre, Ransack Dance Company, Mad Dogs Dance Theatre, Cirque Bijou and much, much more. Her dance work has been shown at The Royal Opera House Linbury Theatre, The Southbank Centre, The Place, Ch4 Random Acts, DanceXchange, Edinburgh & Brighton Fringe Festivals and more.

Commercial Choreography with Hip Hop Influences

Prepare for fun yet challenging commercial choreography, with hip hop influences, working on agility, performance and power.

Aisling Duffy graduated from LSC in 2010 and has a string of impressive dance credits including ZooNation’s Into the Hoods, Thriller, Wicked, The X Factor, The Voice, MOBO Awards, T4 live, Queen’s Jubilee – Kylie Minogue.
Choreography credits include: Pantomime for seven years running at The Towngate Theatre, Odos (Bromley Theatre), One Chance to Dance promotional video – Joe Jonas and Naughty Boy. Aisling is Resident Choreographer on Hamilton UK & Ireland Tour and SIX in the West End.

We Will Rock You Performance Repertoire

Learn vocals and choreography from We Will Rock You, the hit musical based on the music of legendary rock band Queen.

Lee Freeman is a Musical Director, Composer, Arranger/ Orchestrator and a Vocal Coach and is currently Musical Director for Choir of Man at the Arts Theatre, West End. His Musical Director credits include: Grease (Royal Caribbean); Noise Boys (NCL); Hairspray (Royal Caribbean); Sleeping Beauty (Theatre Royal Stratford East); Cool Rider (Lyric/Duchess Theatre – West End).

Karen Walker is an LSC graduate whose credits include We Will Rock You (West End), the German production of Jim Steinman’s Bat Out Of Hell, Aladdin (Evolution Prods & Millfield Theatre), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Adelphi Theatre) & the Plan B Ill Manors Tour.
