Design For Dance 2017
Design For Dance returns with new choreographic works . As tradition, the programme of original workshop dance pieces will feature work produced collaboratively with students from Central Saint Martin’s BA Performance Design and Practice course and student choreographers and dancers from London Studio Centre.
The aim of the project is to enable young choreographers, dancers and designers to collaborate in the creation of new dance, with the emphasis on experimentation.
This year, LSC’s student choreographers Angharad Evans, Lawrence Jeffries, Morven Olson, Zoe Pearson and Zoé Pitt-Bailey are working with other students from 1st and 2nd year to create their new and visionary pieces that will be shown at the Platform Theatre alongside other works created by Rambert School and Central School of Ballet.
We are always excited and proud of the achievements of our students as they grab opportunities such as this to demonstrate and develop their creative work. In particular, our partnership with Central Saint Martin’s and Design For Dance provides a fantastic opportunity for the students to showcase their work, build alliances and working relationships with other emerging talent in the arts.
