Funding and Scholarships

This Scholarship supports students from lower socio economic backgrounds with their tuition fees at London Studio Centre. It is awarded to eligible students and directly allocated towards their tuition fee account.

The Tuition Fee scholarship works on a sliding scale with the maximum amount of £3,000 being awarded to students. Those students receiving the highest possible maintenance support from Student Finance will be awarded a £3,000 Tuition Fee Scholarship which will be deducted directly from the student’s tuition fee account.

Students are automatically awarded this scholarship on receipt of their University Payment Advice from Student Finance showing the qualifying maintenance loan amount. The value of the scholarship is allocated to the students’ fee account.

Applicants for undergraduate programmes can apply for an audition fee waiver. To qualify applicants MUST meet the following criteria:

• Be resident in the UK
• Be applying for an undergraduate programme (FdA or BA)
• Have no previous undergraduate qualifications
• Have an annual household income of £25,000 or below

*Applicants who qualify for an audition fee waiver would qualify for the Tuition Fee Scholarship Scheme listed above.

LSC is proud that income generated through performances and other ventures enables LSC to provide Exceptional Talent Scholarships are awarded to the most talented applicants seen through the audition process.. Available to all applicants, offering financial support to talented applicants and supporting students from under-represented areas that may require additional financial support.

Students can be in receipt of an Exceptional Talent and a Tuition Fee Scholarship. A student that qualifies for both would have no additional fees to pay after their Tuition Fee Loan.

This full scholarship, named in honour of LSC Alumna and acclaimed performer Teneisha Bonner, is awarded to one student from the African and Black Diaspora. This scholarship marks a continuation of the conservatoire’s dedication to widening participation within the dance and performing arts industry.

The Teneisha Bonner Scholarship is awarded by an independent panel at a dedicated scholarship audition day. In addition to attending the scholarship audition, recipients are required to attend a standard entrance audition. Auditions for entry onto our programmes run from December to April of the year of entry.

This scholarship provides full tuition fee support for the duration of the student’s programme.

The Bridget Espinosa Scholarship, named after the founder of the conservatoire, is awarded by the Director to the applicant viewed as exceptional throughout the application and audition stage.

All applicants are under consideration for this course, and there is no need to apply for consideration beyond your application to your chosen course.

This scholarship provides full tuition fee support for the duration of the student’s programme.

LSC is able to offer scholarships to students to help meet its mission of enabling students to become innovative and skilled performers, thanks to the generosity of the Leverhulme Trust. LSC is currently in receipt of a scholarship fund of £175,000 to be awarded over 3 years to current students. As such, we can further the training of students, and put them at the cutting edge of professional dance and musical theatre, regardless of background.

London Studio Centre is proud to be part of The Wall Trust‘s Scholarship Scheme. Scholarships are awarded to exceptionally talented students of the performing arts on the recommendation of the college. The Wall Trust audition normally takes place in the autumn term after students have already begun their course; students are nominated based on talent and it is decided through a formal audition with members of the Trust.
